1. LA MIRADA (24-4)

La Mirada defeated Mayfair 87-51 on Wednesday to go undefeated in the Gateway League and make its case for being chosen for the CIF-SS Open Division playoffs. Coach Randy Oronoz and his team want the invite.

2. GLENDORA (25-3)

The Tartans completed an undefeated run in the Palomares League with a 62-55 win over Walnut. They will head into the playoffs on an SGV-best 22-game winning streak.

3. DAMIEN (21-10)

The Spartans beat Los Osos 66-43 to earn third place in the Baseline League tournament, which gives them an automatic playoff spot. The Spartans are on the bubble between Division 1 and 2.

4. ST. PAUL (17-11)

The Swordsmen closed the regular season with strong wins over St. Monica and St. Pius X-St. Matthias. They finished third in the Del Rey League to grab an automatic playoff spot. They are No. 28 in the CIF-SS rankings and seem to be a virtual lock to be in Division 1 of the playoffs.

5. BISHOP AMAT (23-5)

The Lancers won the Camino Real League with closing wins over Bosco Teach and Cathedral. They finished with one of the best regular seasons in coach Brandon Ertyle’s long tenure. Freshman Aiden Shaw is the real deal.

6. PASADENA (16-7)

The Bulldogs’ 76-75 loss to Crescenta Valley cost them the Pacific League title. They finished the regular season with a 79-44 victory over rival Muir. They will be a tough out in the playoffs, although losing the league title will sting.

7. SOUTH PASADENA (19-9)

The Tigers put it all together toward the end of the regular season. They swept La Cañada and won their rematch with Blair to claim their second consecutive Rio Hondo League title. They’re dangerous and healthy as they head into the playoffs.

8. LA HABRA (20-8)

The Highlanders finished Crestview League play with wins over Canyon and Foothill. They won a league tiebreaker (coin flip) for second place in the standings and are guaranteed a spot in the playoffs.

9. LA CANADA (22-5)

The Spartans finished the Rio Hondo League with a two-game sweep of Blair to finish in second place. Their only two losses in league were to South Pasadena.

10. LOS ALTOS (21-6)

The Conquerors lost their Hacienda League finale to Alta Loma, but it didn’t matter, they had already wrapped up the Hacienda League title. They could be a team to watch in the playoffs.
