


Walmart customers in Woodland were welcomed inside the newly transformed Walmart Neighborhood Market at 1250 E. Gibson Road on Friday morning, as the much-anticipated renovation and remodeling of the store was completed.
The Woodland Walmart store manager and associates marked the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community celebration. The event was attended by local organizations, including representatives from the Woodland YMCA, the Linus Project (Yolo County Chapter), and Yolo Employment Services, which were also presented with grants during the ceremony.
“We’re proud to welcome our customers back to a store that’s been thoughtfully refreshed with them in mind,” said Store Manager Felicia Estrada. “Every update we’ve made is about creating a more comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable place to shop. We’re excited for the community to experience it.”
During the celebration, store leaders and associates highlighted the transformation as well as the new interactive features available to customers, including:
Exciting displays that pull customers in and invite them to touch, feel and experience the products and spaces
Expanded online pickup and delivery services with additional designated parking for increased convenience and faster access to products
Upgrades to the pharmacy, including a new private wellness room for consultations and vaccinations
New digital touchpoints located throughout the store help communicate the vast assortment of products and services Walmart offers online
A reconfigured store layout, creating more space for customers to explore and discover everything the Woodland Neighborhood Market has to offer
A new family restroom designed to provide a comfortable and private space for customers, enhancing the overall in-store experience for families
Improved parking with more accessible handicapped stalls, allowing for increased accessibility for the community
The store manager and several associates presented $6,500 in grants to local nonprofit organizations, including:
$2,500 to the Woodland YMCA
$2,500 to the Yolo Employment Services
$1,500 to the Linus Project (Yolo County Chapter)
