Nearly 50 Temecula children enjoyed a Christmas event with local police.

It was the Shop with a Cop event staged Dec. 11 at the Walmart on Temecula Parkway.

Forty-five kids shopped with 45 officers in the Rotary club of Temecula’s event, organized with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Each child received a $150 gift card donated by Walmart and the Rotary club, a news release states.
