Following the successful hosting of FIRA USA last October, another major agricultural industry event, the 2025 Salinas Biological Summit, will take place in Woodland later this month, further solidifying the city’s national leadership in the food and ag economy.
After two successful summits in the events eponymous Salinas, the 2025 Salinas Biological summit is set to grace the Yolo County Fairgrounds located at 1250 E. Gum Ave from June 24 to 25.
The spacious venue will allow the gathering to “build on and enhance the Summit Program to deliver more opportunity to everyone attending the event; partners, exhibitors, and delegates,” according to an event press release.
The city of Woodland thanks the Woodland Hoteliers Group and VisitWoodland for helping coordinate and sponsor event logistics and accommodations.
According to a city press release, the two-day event will feature keynote speakers, plenary sessions, and targeted panel discussions. The Summit will host an exhibition of biological solutions and provide a unique platform for growers to meet and engage with peers from around the world. With several international delegations confirmed, this event will offer growers the opportunity to learn about international best practices.
In addition, the 2025 event will feature the Summit’s first-ever startup event focused entirely on emerging companies in the biocontrol sector, including real-time demonstrations of biological solutions’ application in the field.
These new features dovetail with AgStart’s continued leadership in the food, ag, and health innovation space. The Lab@AgStart, located in Downtown Woodland, is one of the Central Valley’s largest wet labs and coworking facilities, helping startup entrepreneurs conduct bench-level commercialization of their innovations to solve pressing global needs. As demand for ‘less chemistry, more biologicals’ accelerates, the need to provide growers with tools to develop new integrated pest management programs, as well as meet the increasing calls from regulatory bodies, is critical. Woodland is proud to host the 2025 Summit, a pivotal event as growers and the broader agricultural inputs industry work to build the food and agriculture system of the future.
