Landscape designer Christian Douglas believes gardens can be both beautiful and bountiful.

In his upcoming talk, “A Thoughtful Garden,” he’ll share his ideas on creating a lovely landscape with year-round edibles.

The talk includes a guided tour of the Marin Art and Garden Center’s own fruits, vegetables, herbs and edible flowers, and then a tour of a private edible garden designed by Douglas a short drive away.

Admission is $100 and includes a signed copy of his book “The Food Forward Garden.”

The event starts at 10 a.m. June 21 at the Livermore Pavilion at 30 Sir Francis Drake Blvd. in Ross. Register online at maringarden.org.
