Three Division 2 girls hoopers in Macomb County were recognized for their outstanding play this past season by the Michigan Sports Writers.

Armada’s Claire Sniesak and Ashlyn Upton and Regina’s Emersen Holder were each named as all-state honorable mentions.

Seniors Sniesak and Upton were both highly productive for the Tigers. The former averaged 15.4 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.2 steals per game, while Upton put up 15.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 6.2 steals per contest. Armada finished 19-4 and split the BWAC championship.

Holder, a freshman, averaged 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals per game for the Saddlelites but was at her apex when it mattered most, averaging 23.5 points per game during the final 12 contests.
