Truck was burned in fire on the Hill
A Ford F-150 burned in a fire on Monday afternoon on the Hill, according to Boulder Fire-Rescue spokeswoman Jamie Barker.
There were no reported injuries. Firefighters were called to an alleyway at about 1:45 p.m. Monday between Euclid and Aurora avenues and 13th and 14th streets on a report of a vehicle on fire. The fire was contained to the non-electric Ford F-150, and it was extinguished by 1:54 p.m., according to Barker. The engine and the front cab of the truck received the most damage, Barker said in an email.
A fire investigator was called to investigate the fire. The fire’s cause was unknown as of 2:36 p.m. Monday, Barker said in the email.
City Council to review Flatirons Industrial Park
The Boulder City Council plans to discuss a proposal to build three new research and development buildings in the Flatirons Industrial Park at a meeting on Thursday, based on city materials.
The site review public hearing proposal is to build 207,011 square feet in the three buildings on an almost 10-acre lot at 1855 South Flatiron Court.
The site is roughly three miles southeast of the Boulder Municipal Airport.
There’s a request for a height modification to allow for two three-story buildings as high as 50 feet and vested rights, among other requests. Applying for the proposal is Andrew Faulkner, a representative of BioMed Realty, a San Diego-based company that already owns space in Flatirons Industrial Park.
