Homeless Outreach Street Team Weekly Report

HOST made 52 contacts and offered services to 14 individuals; eight accepted services. HOST tagged 14 camps and cleaned up 11. HOST conducted four downtown patrols.

HOST has contacted an individual several times over several years. During these contacts it was apparent the individual needed some assistance and needed to get in contact with service providers. This person had not accepted services but recently agreed to attend medical appointments and begin bettering their living situation. HOST has talked to this individual regularly helping connect the individual to care.

This individual was living on the private property of a business. The business wanted them removed. HOST worked with county resources to coordinate storage for the individuals’ personal property while they completed the steps to get housing, medical treatment, and financial assistance. This is just one of many examples of how our HOST officer’s work has improved the quality of life for an individual and lessened the impact of their situation on the community.

This is a synopsis of reports provided by the Woodland Police Department, and does not include all calls or arrests or some cases which are under active investigation.
