Two-time defending national champion UCLA will take on top-seeded Long Beach State today in the NCAA Tournament championship match of men’s volleyball in Columbus, Ohio.
The third-seeded Bruins (22-6) face an opportunity for their third consecutive championship and their 22nd in program history.
Long Beach State (29-3) will make its 11th NCAA national championship appearance, looking for its fourth national title in the last seven seasons.
Notably, the Beach defeated the Bruins twice in the regular season, dropping just one set in the combined matches.
But winning the national title is no simple feat, and the Bruins showed in the semifinals they can defeat Hawaii, a team that has defeated Long Beach State twice in its last seven matches.

No. 9 UCLA will host a regional in its first season as a Big Ten member it was learned as NCAA Division I tournament seeds were announced.
Texas A&M earned the overall No. 1 seed, edging four-time defending national champion Oklahoma for the top spot and leading seven Southeastern Conference teams seeded in the top eight.
Oklahoma won the SEC regular-season title by a game over Texas A&M in its first season in the conference. Texas A&M and Oklahoma tied for the conference tournament title after the championship game was canceled because of bad weather.
No. 3 seed Florida, a national semifinalist last season, and No. 4 Arkansas also represent the SEC. Oklahoma State, which has made five consecutive Women’s College World Series appearances, is in the regional with Arkansas.
The final eight teams in the 64-team field will play in the WCWS from May 29-June 5 in Oklahoma City.

Miami Hurricanes linebacker Adarius Hayes was one of the drivers in a two-vehicle crash that left three people dead and at least two others injured, police said.
The three who died as a result of the crash were all in a Kia Soul, which collided with a Dodge Durango being driven by Hayes on Saturday afternoon, police said. No tickets or criminal charges have been filed, though the investigation is continuing.
A 78-year-old woman who was driving the Kia has died, police said. There also were two children — ages 10 and 4 — killed in the crash, both of them passengers in the Kia, police said.
Another passenger of the Kia was hospitalized with serious injuries, police said, and Hayes also was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
There were no signs of impairment with either driver of the vehicles, Largo police said.
The Hurricanes have not commented on Hayes’ condition.
