The Matadores return after a week off. They’re 5-0 in the Gateway League with three games left. They host Gahr (11-12-2, 4-1) on Wednesday with a chance to clinch the league title outright. They’re No. 2 in the CIF Southern Section computer rankings.

2. CHARTER OAK (12-0)
After sweeping Northview 6-0 and 9-1, the Chargers can clinch the Valle Vista League title with a sweep of Covina this week. They are the only undefeated team in the CIF-SS and will likely be in the Division 1 playoffs.

3. WHITTIER CHRISTIAN (20-5)
The Heralds are 6-0 in the Olympic League and can clinch the league title with a victory over Cerritos Valley Christian at home on Wednesday. Mia Camacho and Bella Perez each have five home runs.

4. LA HABRA (19-7)
The Highlanders have clinched the Freeway League title and are 10-0 in league. They need wins over El Dorado and Sunny Hills to go undefeated in league. No. 14 in the CIF-SS rankings.

5. GANESHA (19-4-1)
The Giants have clinched the Miramonte League title and have won their past five games with shutouts. Pitcher Kaleena Lemus has thrown four straight mercy-shortened, five-inning no-hitters. If she throws a no-hitter against Pomona on Tuesday she would tie the CIF-SS record for most consecutive no-hitters.

6. CALIFORNIA (16-9)
The Condors got back on track with wins over Valley Christian and Santa Fe. They’re 8-1 in the Del Rio League with big games against El Rancho and La Serna this week that could help them clinch the league title.

7. LOS ALTOS (16-8)
The Conquerors finished a two-game sweep of South Hills and remain undefeated in the Hacienda League after Hannah Vargas belted a three-run double in the seventh inning to beat the Huskies, 4-1. They begin the week Monday with an important game at Colony.

8. SCHURR (18-5-1)
The Spartans can clinch the Almont League title outright with a victory over Keppel today at home. The Spartans beat the Aztecs 15-2 in the first meeting. It is the Aztecs’ only league loss. They have a solid pitcher in Robyn Guitron.

9. BONITA (17-8)
The Bearcats need to beat Glendora at home on Thursday to possibly finish at least second in the Palomares League. It looks like Ayala will win the league title, but the Bearcats will get another crack at the Bulldogs in their league finale.

10. SOUTH HILLS (14-7-1)
The Huskies’ chances of winning the Hacienda League title took a tumble in a 4-1 loss at home to Los Altos. They’re 5-2 in league and still in good position to finish second.
