A man was arrested in Woodland in connection to the shooting and death of a 20-year-old woman in north Sacramento, according to law enforcement.

The Sacramento Bee reported that Sacramento homicide detectives were able to track down Cotrino Mclin, 29, and arrested him on Tuesday night. Officers had been searching for the man since Monday, taking to social media to ask the public for help in finding their suspect.

“This arrest underscores the commitment that our detectives and officers exhibit to hold those who victimize our community accountable,” police said.

Law enforcement was called to apartments on the 4000 block of Taylor Street of North Sacramento when victim Lashae Mary Harmon was found dead on Feb. 25. The cause of death was determined to be at least from one gunshot wound.

The 29-year-old suspect was booked in the Sacramento County Main Jail and is being held without bond on a parole violation and first degree murder. Mclin’s arraignment is expected to take place on Thursday, according to court schedules.
