Summer concerts: The Pomona Concert Band’s 78th annual summer concert series opens 7:30 July 10 with “Viva Musica” at the G. Stanton Selby Bandshell behind the Community Center building in Ganesha Park, 1575 N. White Ave., Pomona. The free concerts continue at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays through Aug. 28, plus a bonus concert 6 p.m. Aug. 24 with the Golden State British Brass Band.

LifeStream blood drive: The city of Chino Hills hosts a LifeStream blood drive noon-5 p.m. at the Government Center parking lot, 14077 Peyton Drive. Donors receive a free mini-physical, including readings for blood pressure, pulse, cholesterol levels, iron level and temperature, with results being posted on the donor’s private online portal. Food distribution: Food for Life Ministry offers food 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at its main warehouse, 4712 Cheyenne Way, Chino. It also offers food there 9 a.m.-noon on the Saturdays when it is not holding food distributions elsewhere.
