I guess you have to feel sorry for people living in Illinois with the kind government that we have. There’s no excuse for it. The politicians all need to be ... thrown out of office. Then we can have a general election and start over again because this group ... starting from Gov. Bruce Rauner on down through Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel to the legislature in Springfield, are hopeless. We’re not going to get anything out of them. ... At the rate it’s going, Illinois is going to hit rock bottom if we haven’t hit it already.

I recently read an article about two sisters who were targeted by bullies during their days at Monee Elementary School and who also followed them to Crete-Monee High School. I started seeing a flashback as this too happened to me in elementary school. It was all because I was tall and skinny. The kids didn’t allow me to jump rope with them. They would say I may break my bones. You never forget these cruel remarks. But when life gives you lemons, what do you do? You make lemonade.

We need to take a no-nonsense approachto marijuana reform. Our state needs to come into the 21st century and start realizing that instead of taxing citizens at the gasoline pump that we could be taxing them at the dispensary.
