Homeowner surprises burglary suspects
The Porter County Sheriff's Department is seeking information about a recent Porter Township burglary in which a homeowner arrived to find the suspects in her driveway.
Deputies with the department were called around 10:20 a.m. Friday about a burglary in progress near County Road 150 South and County Road 725 West in Porter Township, near Lakes of the Four Seasons.
The homeowner arrived home to find a dark blue, early 2000s-model Dodge Durango in her driveway and her storm doors open. The homeowner's screaming scared off the suspects and alerted a neighbor, who called police.
