Tyreek Hill only had three receptions for 53 yards against the Bills in Week 4, and Miami could face Buffalo’s pass defense without Jaylen Waddle, who is the only Dolphin in franchise history to have three straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons. Buffalo has allowed just one passing touchdown in the past four games. CB Rasul Douglas, who will likely line up against Hill, has four interceptions, a pick-6, eight passes defensed, a sack and two fumble recoveries since joining Buffalo in an Oct. 31 trade.

SERIES NOTES: The Bills are 12-2 in the regular season and postseason against Miami since 2017, which was Sean McDermott’s first year as head coach. ... The Dolphins dominated the Bills in the 1970s by going 20-0 against their division rival, which still stands as the NFL’s longest winning streak against one opponent.

STATS AND STUFF: The Bills are in position to win their fourth straight AFC East title, which would match a franchise record spanning 1988-91. Buffalo has already set a team record with 10 or more wins in five straight seasons. ... The Bills have the NFL’s best streak by having won 13 straight regular-season games played in December and January. They’re 18-2 overall since 2020. The winning streak goes back to consecutive losses to New England and Tampa Bay in December 2021. ... Miami can clinch the AFC East for the first time since 2008 with a win and would lock in the No. 2 seed for the first time since 1992. ... A victory would also give the Dolphins their first 12-win season since 1990. ... The Dolphins have lost just three home games since Nov. 7, 2021. Their 19-3 mark in that span is their best 22-game stretch at Hard Rock Stadium since the venue opened in 1987.

KEY MATCHUP: Raiders WR Davante Adams vs. Broncos CB Pat Surtain II. They’ve had some memorable matchups, including in this season’s opener when Surtain helped hold Adams to six catches for 66 yards. But it also was Adams who faked out Surtain on an over route last season in Denver to catch a wide-open 35-yard touchdown pass in overtime.

SERIES NOTES: Las Vegas has won the past seven meetings — its longest active streak against any team — and nine of 10 games. ... The Raiders are 3-0 against Denver in Las Vegas.

STATS AND STUFF: The Broncos’ playoff drought is at eight years. They haven’t been back to the postseason since winning Super Bowl 50. But they have a chance for their first winning season since 2016 when they went 9-7. However, a victory could be bad for their QB plans in 2024 as it could drop them from 14th in the NFL draft order to 18th. A loss and some luck could move them up to 11th. ... The Raiders have missed the playoffs in 19 of the past 21 seasons.

Eagles (11-5) at N.Y. Giants (5-11)

KEY MATCHUP: The Giants defense needs to slow down Jalen Hurts and the Eagles. In the playoff game last season and the matchup on Christmas Day, Philadelphia has combined for 881 yards and 71 points. Hurts has thrown for three TDs and rushed for two more.

SERIES NOTES: The Eagles have won the past five and 13 of 15.

STATS AND STUFF: The Eagles are in the playoffs for the third straight year and 18th time under owner Jeff Lurie. ... They have won 11 games in consecutive seasons for the third time in team history. ... Philadelphia is an NFL best 18-7 on the road since 2021. ... Philadelphia lost four of five in December. ... QB Tyrod Taylor threw for 319 yards and the offense gained 389 yards, its second-highest output this season. He is the first Giants quarterback since Eli Manning in 2015 to have multiple scoring passes of at least 65 yards or more in a season. ... RB Saquon Barkley is 84 yards shy of a second straight 1,000-yard rushing season.

Seahawks (8-8) at Cardinals (4-12)

KEY MATCHUP: The Cardinals’ running game — led by Conner and Michael Carter — has been steady all season and racked up 221 yards last week against the Eagles. Arizona will try to use that strength against a Seattle run defense that’s been a little shaky, giving up an average of nearly 160 yards over the past 11 games, which ranks near the bottom of the league.

SERIES NOTES: The Seahawks have won eight of the past 11 games vs. the Cardinals, including the past four in a row.

STATS AND STUFF: The Seahawks clinch a playoff spot with a win and a loss by the Packers. It would be Seattle’s 11th playoff appearance in 14 seasons under coach Pete Carroll with a win, but a loss would be the second time in three seasons missing the playoffs. … QB Geno Smith needs two TD passes to reach 20 for the season, although he missed two games because of injury. Smith threw for 30 touchdowns last season. … The Cardinals have a 3-4 record since QB Kyler Murray returned from an ACL injury. Murray has thrown for 1,537 yards, nine touchdowns and five interceptions in those seven games.

Chiefs (10-6) at L.A. Chargers (5-11)

KEY MATCHUP: Chiefs wide receivers vs. Chargers secondary. If ever Kansas City needed the right opponent to build up some confidence for its pass catchers headed into the postseason, a defense allowing 256 yards per game through the air would certainly qualify. The Chargers gave up gains of 54 and 41 yards to Broncos QB Jarrett Stidham, so the experienced Gabbert should be able to give the likes of Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Justin Watson and Richie James chances to make plays.

SERIES NOTES: The Chiefs have won all three games against the Chargers at SoFi Stadium by a combined 12 points. Two of those games were decided in overtime.

STATS AND STUFF: The Chiefs have 54 sacks this season, tying the 1997 team for third most in a season. They need two to pass the 2022 team (55) and seven to break the record set by the 1990 team (60). ... Chargers K Cameron Dicker is 7 of 9 on field goals of 50 yards or longer, and those seven makes are a team single-season record. … OLB Khalil Mack became the seventh active player with 100 or more sacks by picking up his 16th of the season against Denver. Mack (100 1/2) joined an elite group that includes Bills OLB Von Miller (123 1/2), Saints DE Cameron Jordan (117 1/2), Patriots DE Chandler Jones (112), Chiefs OLB Justin Houston (112), Rams DL Aaron Donald (111) and Falcons DE Calais Campbell (104 1/2).

L.A. Rams (9-7) at 49ers (12-4)

KEY MATCHUP: Rams edge rusher Byron Young vs. 49ers tackle Colton McKivitz. Young has been impressive with seven sacks as a rookie and could provide a big challenge for McKivitz, who has struggled at times in pass protection for San Francisco.

SERIES NOTES: The 49ers have won nine straight regular-season meetings against the Rams, but lost to Los Angeles in the 2021 NFC title game. ... The Rams’ most recent regular-season win in the series came in Week 17 of the 2018 season at home and their most recent road win against San Francisco came earlier that season.

STATS AND STUFF: The Rams clinched their third playoff berth in four seasons last week and will be either the sixth or seventh seed in the NFC. ... Los Angeles WR Puka Nacua has 101 catches for 1,445 yards this season. He needs four catches to break Jaylen Waddle’s rookie record set in 2021 and 29 yards to break Bill Groman’s record set in 1960. ... Nacua has seven games with at least 100 yards receiving, including 147 on 15 catches in Week 2 against San Francisco. ... The 49ers clinched the No. 1 seed for the 10th time in franchise history last week.

Cowboys (11-5) at Commanders (4-12)

LAST MEETING: Cowboys beat Commanders 45-10 on Nov. 23 at Dallas.

KEY MATCHUP: The Cowboys defense vs. Sam Howell. If this is anything like San Francisco or the New York Jets, Dallas will be able to feast on Howell’s mistakes and take advantage of Washington’s banged-up offensive line missing at least two starters. Howell has clearly worn down as the season has gone on and could be ripe for another pick-6 from DaRon Bland, who intercepted him and returned it for a TD on Thanksgiving to break the single-season NFL record.

SERIES NOTES: The Cowboys have won 34 of 64 visits to Washington in franchise history. While Dak Prescott is 10-2 against the Commanders, each of the losses came on the road. That includes last season, when he had a career-worst completion rate of 37.8% (14 of 37) and his third-worst passer rating (45.8).

STATS AND STUFF: The Cowboys can clinch the NFC East title with a victory. They are tied with defending division champion Philadelphia. The Eagles need a victory and a Dallas loss to be the first team to win the division back to back since they won four in a row from 2001-04. … Commanders QB Sam Howell leads the NFL with 19 interceptions and has been sacked a league-high 61 times. His 585 passing attempts rank second. ... Howell is set to be the first Washington QB to start every game of a season since Kirk Cousins in 2017.
