DETROIT >> It sure doesn’t feel like hockey season outside, but it’s not that far off.
The Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday announced their preseason schedule, which begins with a Sept. 23 game at Little Caesars Arena against Chicago.
The Wings will play eight exhibition games — four at LCA and four on the road.
Following the Chicago game, the Wings will have three games in three days — hosting Buffalo on Sept. 25, followed by road games in Pittsburgh and Buffalo (Sept. 27).
The Wings wrap up the month hosting Pittsburgh on Sept. 29 before going on the road to Chicago. The Wings conclude the preseason with a pair of games against Toronto, visiting the Maple Leafs on Oct. 2 before hosting them Oct. 4 to end the exhibition schedule.
Information on tickets for preseason and regular-season games will be announced at a later date. The regular-season schedule will be released in early- to mid-July.
