Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell couldn’t speak in specifics during his appearance on the Costa and Jansen with Heather Show on 97.1 The Ticket on Tuesday, but he acknowledged the looming suspension regarding wide receiver Jameson Williams.

Williams, who is amid breakout season, is facing a two-game suspension for violating the league’s Performance-Enhancing Substances (PES) policy, ESPN’s Eric Woodyard reported Monday night.

“I can’t really say anything about it,” Campbell said on The Ticket. “Until the league gives judgment and it comes out on their end, I’m not supposed to really comment on it. All I can tell you is we’re prepared to not have him, and we’ll be fine. That’s why we’ve got Leaf (Kalif Raymond) and Saint (Amon-Ra St. Brown) and (Sam) LaPorta and TP (Tim Patrick) and Allen Robinson, among other things with (running backs) David Montgomery (and) (Jahmyr) Gibbs.“We’ll be fine, we’ll move on. (When) this thing comes down — if it does — when it comes down, we’ll be fine.”

It isn’t yet known what Williams tested positive for. However, according to the NFL’s PES policy, the punishment of a two-game suspension is handed out if a player tests positive for a stimulant, diuretic, or masking agent.

Williams has proven valuable in stretching the field this season, hauling in 17 receptions for 361 yards and three touchdowns. His yards per reception of 21.2 ranks No. 2 in the NFL behind Indianapolis receiver Alec Pierce (25.3).

The Lions, coming off a big win over Minnesota Vikings in Week 7, are scheduled to play the Tennessee Titans at home Sunday and at the Green Bay Packers on Nov. 3.
