Five people, including a teen female and a juvenile, have been arrested for robbing a Macomb Township gas station, according to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office. Three males entered the Mobile station at 21 Mile and Hayes roads shortly after 3 a.m. Wednesday, and walked through the aisles. One suspect approached the clerk and said to “get in the back,” and the employee, believing the suspect was armed, left the store, officials said in a press release. The clerk then observed the suspect leave the store in a small white SUV and travel east on 21 Mile Road. Stolen items included 85 Breeze Vapes, Black and Mile Swisher Select Cigars and Hostess donuts, officials reported.
Minutes later, at about 3:30 a.m., deputies responded to a home on Chevalier Drive in Westbridge Manor manufactured home park in Macomb Township for a welfare check of a woman. A man called police and said his girlfriend wasn’t able to leave the home and that the people responsible for the robbery were at the home.
Deputies said they found three small white SUVs parked at the home and took into custody three males — a 33-year-old from Clinton Township, a 20-year-old from Macomb Township and an 18-year-old from Arnold, Mont. — and an 18-year-old female from Clinton Township. A juvenile male was arrested later that night in connection with the incident.
While charges were being sought from the prosecutor’s office, the four adults were being held in the county jail and the juvenile was being held in the Juvenile Justice Center, officials said; both facilities are located in Mount Clemens.
