Local artists will take over the Claremont Lewis Museum of Art on July 19 in Free 4 All, a one-day pop-up show.

The museum’s annual Free 4 All event is open to artists of all ages, with no fees to exhibit and no gatekeepers to decide who is allowed to show their work. Hundreds of artists are expected to participate, according to a news release from the museum.

Those who want to show their art are invited to deliver ready-to-hang work to the museum between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. July 18.

Only one work per artist will be accepted, and it must be able to hang from one nail on the wall (no pedestal or floor displays). Size is limited to 24 inches in any direction, and the piece must be appropriate for a family-friendly audience, according to the news release.

The show will be open to view 4-9 p.m. July 19, and the event will include participatory art projects, custom T-shirt making and live music by Truck Perry Trio and Honey Buckets.

Refreshments will be available from Pizza N Such and Claremont Craft Ales.

The exhibit is sponsored by WFIC, and admission is free.

The Claremont Lewis Museum of Art is in the historic Claremont Depot at 200 W. First St., next to the Metrolink station.
