Larimer County invites its residents and visitors to “Rate Your Day” after visiting any Larimer County open spaces this summer.

The Larimer County Department of Natural Resources has launched its third year of the “Rate Your Day” program, an initiative aimed at determining visitor satisfaction following park and open space visits. The program offers a survey after visits where visitors can give feedback on their experience, whether camping, fishing, hiking, or just taking in the Northern Colorado landscape.

The program runs from June through October with QR codes at trailheads, campgrounds, and visitor centers; and on postage, flyers and signage. The three-question survey should take no more than two minutes to complete and can be completed after any and every visit to a park or open space.

The county has taken insight and direction on its open spaces over the past two years of the program, collecting over 2,000 surveys over the two years. Customer service improvements have been made in each of the first two years of the program, based on the visitor feedback it has provided.

During the 2024 “Rate Your Day” program period, Larimer County’s parks and open spaces received four out of five stars, leaving visitors “satisfied.” With 52% of ratings giving park experience five stars, over half of the survey submitted considered their experience “very satisfactory.” Almost 80% of responses were either four or five stars. 87% of total respondents reported feeling safe and welcome. Nearly 40 states were represented in the 2024 crop of surveys.
