A 53-year-old St. Clair Shores man is accused of possessing child pornography by the Macomb Area Computer Enforcement unit, according to sheriff’s officials.

Eric Wojnowski was arrested Tuesday following a search of his home and arraigned Wednesday in 40th District Court in St. Clair Shores on charges of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, two counts of possession of child sexually abusive material and three counts of using a computer to commit a crime.

MACE detectives investigated Wojnowski in response to a tip from the Michigan Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force via the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that indicated he uploaded “numerous” child-porn videos and other images, authorities said.

The investigation continues as several pieces of evidence seized from the home are under forensic review, according to officials.

Wojnowski was released after posting 10% of a $10,000 bond and is scheduled for a June 17 probable-cause hearing in front of Judge Joseph Oster, according to court records.
