George A. Laurenz, 73, passed away April 30, 2017. He was born in Cleveland on Jan. 15, 1944, to the late George D. and Margaret B. (Krebs) Laurenz. He loved barbecues, clam bakes, boating and fishing. George especially enjoyed spending time on Put-in-Bay, and he loved his cats. He also liked to travel to Frankenmuth, Mich., for their Oktoberfest

George is survived by his wife of 36 years, Darleen (Faltinsky) Laurenz; children, Susan E. Jakubowski (Steve Frank), George D. (Rhonda), Anthony W. (Tammy); step-daughter, Danette M. Berman; grandchildren, Tabetha, Kristen, Cody; step-grandson, Johnathan; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Delores and David.
