John Allen Wasiloff, 79, of North Royalton, passed away Jan. 26, 2017 from complications of Alzheimer's.

He was the beloved son of William and Eleanor (nee Black) Wasiloff (both deceased), and leaves behind a number of cousins.

John joined the United States Air Force as an aircraft/engine mechanic. Upon his discharge, he worked for J&L Steel until retirement after 37 years. During his working years, John pursued his passion for speed with motorcycles and auto racing, building and rebuilding racing cars, and raced at Dragway 42 and Thompson. He may be best remembered for his trophy winning 1948 Prefect "IT". He also loved airplanes and was a colonel in the Confederate Air Force.
