To the Editor:
It was a pleasure to read the letter in support of our president in last week's Post. We all need to support our president. It was also a pleasure reading Bruce Trogdon's column "Paris can wait." There are so many ways we can help our environment. How about we be accountable from the bottom? How much food is wasted daily in each household? How about the folks that have no respect for our countryside that toss their garbage from their car windows? How about the water that is wasted with long showers? I could go on. I also liked the guest columnist's take on "Spirituality is key in combating the opioids epidemic" as well as Sherrod Brown's take on needing a better health system for our veterans then what we have.
Congressman Jim Renacci, your take on the Paris Agreement, yes, I agree. Senator Portman, why should the cost of a college education be so ridiculous to begin with? Let's start there.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that it was nice to read articles without slander or dirt flying. It is getting to be that I hate to pick up the morning newspaper or listen to some of the news because the titles of the articles remind me of the trashy tabloid section in the aisle at the checkout counter of the grocery store. We truly need to appreciate what we have in this great country. God bless America and God bless the people who can express their opinion with true facts.
