Have we lost manpower in Brunswick and not noticed?
letter to the editor
To the Editor:

Thankfully this has been a mild winter so far and there has not been much need for complaints about our snow removal. Did anyone else notice the article in the Feb. 11 edition titled, “City to test road salt additive?” The part that got my attention was, “Brunswick is a big city to have three trucks to cover the entire city; it takes a long time to get through the city....” Last year the statement was made that due to manpower shortages, in order to keep four trucks (one per city quadrant) on the road, the mechanic has to operate one, but during prolonged weather he frequently gets pulled back to the shop for truck repairs, which leaves three trucks. Have we lost more manpower without any notice? Why is it the same every year with nothing being done about it?
