The second week of May each year the K-Kids clubs at Northrop, Heritage and Sidney Fenn elementary schools beautify Jump Park.

This year there were more than 200 K-Kids club members and their advisors present for flower planting and mulch spreading.

The City of Medina provided the mulch.

The Medina Breakfast Kiwanis Club that sponsors the K-Kids clubs provided the plants.

In addition, Key Club members from the Career Center supervised the K-Kids members.

After a snack in the pavilion The K-Kids members received instructions from Tom Borror of the Breakfast club.

After the flowers were planted the K-Kids members spread mulch by loading up coffee tins and carefully distributing the mulch around the plants.

Kiwanis members and city workers will check on the flowers during the summer to make sure they have enough water and weeds are controlled.
