
Congratulations to Highland seniors Morgan Belsole, Madison Butler and Christina Williams who signed their letters of intent on Nov. 11 to attend their chosen college. Morgan, the daughter of Brent and Charlene Belsole of Montville Township, has accepted an academic and athletic scholarship to Walsh University where she will play softball and major in legal studies. Belsole is a four-year scholar athlete and plays second base for the Lady Hornets. This past season, she helped the team win its first Suburban League championship since 1976. She was named 1st Team All-Conference and Honorable Mention All-Gazette. She is a member of the honor roll and maintains a 3.9 GPA. Madison, the daughter of Pete and Teresa Butler of Hinckley Township, will attend and play golf for Cleveland State University, where she was offered a full scholarship. She plans to major in business/finance. She was recently crowned the 2016 State Golf Champion and was named the 2015-16 Medina Post Player of the Year. In addition, she tied Highland's nine-hole record (four under par) and was named the Medina Gazette MVP. She currently holds a 3.889 GPA. Christina, the daughter of Brian and Alice Williams of Montville Township, has accepted a full scholarship to Malone University where she will play golf and major in accounting. Williams, a scholar athlete, was named 1st Team All-Ohio, 1st Team Northeast Ohio District, 1st Team Suburban League and 1st Team All-Gazette.
