It’s health care that matters, not health care insurance
Letter to the editor

To the Editor:

Just like climate change and so-called global warming, the Affordable Care Act versus the House Republicans' Obamacare replacement plan is yet another political football. Should the proper focus even be on insurance? Who in Washington or anywhere is working on health care costs? Wasn't and isn't this a huge problem for Americans? Runaway medical costs whether John and Jane Doe have insurance or not? And as Veronique de Rugy reminds, it's health care that matters, not health care insurance.

Sad to say, but it's time to lower expectations yet again for our federal "leaders." ESPN does not cover political football, of course, since it's never a sport, but rather a marionette show, and we cannot be certain who is pulling the strings. Libertarian David Harsanyi exclaims we do not even need a federal plan for health care. Can you picture the feds not sticking its big, invasive schnozzle wherever it doesn't belong?
