The Red Kettle Campaign helps those in need in Medina
Letter to the editor

To the Editor:

You know it is the Christmas season when you hear the sound of the bells rung by the volunteers standing by the Salvation Army Red Kettles. This year, we will once again be out locally here in Medina regardless of weather to raise money to help those in need.

While we are blessed in Medina in so many ways, there continues to be a great need from those that are not as fortunate. The Red Kettle is our most important source of funds for the programs run all year at the local Salvation Army Corps here in Medina. This year's goal is $80,000. The money raised by the Red Kettle Campaign stays right here in Medina. We rely on community minded volunteers to stand by the kettles and ring the bells. If you are interested in helping your neighbors in need and would like to volunteer to stand and ring the bell, we could surely use your help. In a tight knit community like ours it is a great experience and you will surely see your friends, family and neighbors while you are out! Community groups, churches, youth groups, neighbors and corporate sponsors have all helped in the past! If you would like to help, please call the Salvation Army at 330-722-6488.

Merry Christmas!
