MEDINA – The 25-year career of Connie Gibson at the Medina County Tax Map Office came to an end Aug. 31.

Gibson was known for her attention to detail in the important job of recording and managing legal records dealing with land transfers and ownership.

“I’ve worked with Connie numerous times over the years and she was meticulous in her work,” said County Commissioner Bill Hutson. “I always appreciated her efforts and her cooperation.”

County commissioners presented Gibson with a commendation for her service at their regular meeting Aug. 29.

That commendation stated in part: “The Board of County Commissioners wishes to recognize and honor Connie for her commitment to diligent work and dedication for accurate land records in Medina County. Connie served as a faithful employee through the years. She began her county career in the Old Courthouse working on land records when they were hand drafted onto paper pages in very large books in the Tax Map Office.”
