To the Editor:
To a recent letter writer: I obviously can’t speak for anyone but myself. I am moved to respond to your letter to The Post that was published in the Nov. 19 edition. Everyone who enlisted or was drafted into service of our country deserves our country’s thanks, honor and support, especially any veterans that were wounded during their service. Even if a veteran feels that they served in an unjust police action or war, they still deserve my thanks and honor as heroes because a part of their life was spent, given and/or taken to represent the United States of America with all our strengths and weaknesses and all of our right or wrong actions.
To quote the letter writer, “Honor to all (you and your) fellow veterans. You deserve it. God bless.”
I never served, but I am always grateful.
