Driveway pooper doesn’t remember anything

Medina Township Police

May 14 – Police were called to a Matthew Lane address after a male was found asleep in the complainant’s car at 8:51 a.m. The male was also alleged to have defecated in the driveway, according to the police report. An officer made contact with a 24-year-old Medina man who reportedly told police he had been drinking the previous night and didn’t remember anything. The man was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing.

May 16 – Police stopped the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling 51 mph in a 25 mph zone on Lafayette Road at 12:56 a.m. The driver, a juvenile, was arrested for OVI.

May 15 – Police stopped a motorist on North Court Street for not using a turn signal within 100 feet of making a turn at 9:54 p.m. The officer reported an odor of marijuana. The occupants of the car consented to searches and nothing was found. The car was also searched and nothing was found. The driver told the officer that the owner of the car, his grandfather, smokes marijuana in the car.

May 15 – Police were called to a North Court Street business at 7:55 p.m. in reference to an argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend. The girlfriend accused the boyfriend of walking off with her keys. The boyfriend was located and did not have the keys.

May 15 – A North Spring Grove Street resident called police because he felt threatened after an argument over a parking space. An officer spoke with all parties involved. No charges were filed.

May 15 – Police received a complaint about a group of juveniles writing with permanent marker on two benches at Memorial Park at 6:12 p.m. An officer identified the juveniles and charged them with criminal mischief.

May 14 – A trailer was reported stolen from an Oak Street address at 9:54 p.m. The trailer contained a Harley Davidson motorcycle and a golf cart. A felony theft report was taken.

May 14 – Police responded to a burglary in progress at a vacant Joshua Way residence at 9:30 p.m. Courtney Heckman, 24, and Alexander I. Stevens, 28, both of Medina, were arrested for trespassing.

May 14 – A Waterbury Drive resident reported a safe was stolen from the house, possibly when contractors were in the house in December. A report was taken.

May 14 – A Highland Drive resident called police about their neighbor who allegedly stopped his vehicle in front of the complainant’s house and was yelling profanities and playing his car stereo excessively loud, according to witnesses. Carl M. Reese, 57, of Highland Drive, was cited for disorderly conduct.

May 14 – Frank A. Carrick, 23, of Deepwood Drive, was arrested for domestic violence after police responded to a disturbance at 4:47 p.m.

May 14 – Police responded to a disturbance and arrested Danielle M. Stapleton, 35, and Anthony C. Day, 39, both for domestic violence.

May 13 – Police located four juveniles smoking marijuana in Reagan Park after hours. All were charged with misdemeanor drug abuse.

May 11 – Police responded to Abbeyville Road in reference to a female who had reportedly taken an unknown drug and broke into multiple apartments. She allegedly barricaded herself in the last apartment around 9:21 p.m. Police extracted Ashley A. Caravajal, 30, of Mansfield, was arrested for burglary, a felony.

May 11 – A Beechwood Drive woman called police to report finding a firearm. The weapon was a realistic-looking BB gun.

May 9 – Several officers responded to a fight at a Birch Hill Drive address for a fight. Upon arrival, officers spoke with several people involved and subsequently arrested David A. Sawicki, 46, for assault.

May 11 – A Watkins Road resident called police after noticing fraudulent activity in a broker account. A report was taken.

May 10 – A Pearl Road insurance agent called police with concerns of a “mentally disturbed ex-policy holder” making unwanted claims while at the business. The woman left the property after she was asked to.

May 10 – The owner of a soon-to-be-foreclosed residence on Weymouth Road called police after discovering someone had broken into the home. Interior damage was also reported.

May 8 – A 28-year-old woman was issued a summons for theft after attempting to steal a purse and watch set valued at approximately $50 from a Pearl Road retail store at 1:45 p.m.

April 27 – A warrant was issued for a woman who was seen on security camera footage stealing a number of pieces of jewelry from a Stonegate Drive business. The stolen items total approximately $400.
