Four students from the Medina Classical Conversations homeschool community recently capped months of study by correctly reciting over 500 facts from a multitude of subjects as part of the national Classical Conversations Memory Master program.
The students, ranging in age from 7 to 11 years old, earned the “Memory Master” award April 3 after reciting facts from six subjects as well as a history timeline in a multi-phase proofing process.
Students were required to recite the material with 100 percent accuracy to achieve the title of Memory Master.
In addition to a chronological timeline of 161 events and people, the students memorized 24 history sentences to add depth to the timeline, 24 science facts, over 100 geographic locations, Latin verb conjugations, definitions of parts of speech and myriad pronoun lists, multiplication facts up to 15x15, basic geometry formulas and more.
