Daniel Peter Hoisington
obituaries
Daniel Peter Hoisington, 24, of Medina, No. 71, lost the biggest race of his life on May 19, 2017, being defeated by addiction. He was born in Valley City on Dec. 15, 1992 to Peter and Susan (nee Bergstrom) Hoisington and then moving to the farm in Seville.

Dan made a lot of friends and was a graduate of Medina High School in 2011. Dan was always an athlete, and the last person you would think of getting addicted to anything but the adrenaline rush of competition. Unfortunately, the love of friends and family cannot cure the disease of addiction. We let him go to the Lord with a feeling of peace, knowing the struggle within is over. Dan’s love of racing was shared by all of the CRA-OMA and ATVAMA National Racing team mates and sponsors.

His brother, Raymond (Rechel), was proud of Dan’s racing abilities and served as his mechanic on the line. His sister, Brittany (Brenton) Kimble, shared her love of horses with Dan, as they showed together in 4-H and at all American Youth Show, and most recently shared a love for physical fitness. He is also survived by his niece, Kirra Hoisington, whom shared his love of quad racing; nephew, Van Hoisington; grandma, Holly Bergstrom; grandfather, Dayton Matick; also his aunts and uncles, Tom and Tammi Bergstrom, Joe and Josie Hoisington, Jay and Heather Brittingham, Lesley Castle, Greg and Christie Matlick; his cousins from Michigan, North Carolina and Ohio. Jessica Bradley was Dan’s best friend and true love. Dan’s second home was Rise Fitness where he and his best buddies Andrew and Anthony would spend hours working out. Dan is the namesake of his late grandpa, Daniel Bergstrom.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be directed to Robby's Voice, 1114 North Court, No. 123 Medina, Ohio, 44256.
