SHARON – Once again, it was a perfect summer evening Aug. 9, when nearly 150 people were in attendance at Sharon Circle Park to hear the Wolfe Creeque Band, a group of local musicians who play American folk, classic and blues music.
The band members are: Elijah Blower, vocals, acoustic guitar; Zack Blower, lead guitar; Nathaniel Blower, piano; Ben Grom, drums; Sam Weisend, vocals; and Tong Xu, vocals.
The Blower brothers, who were born in Sharon Township, viewed their performance in the Sharon gazebo as a “coming home” concert.
They presented several original songs, written by the band members, which included “Year of the Dragon,” “Tibetan Coat” and “Damascus Light.” Other songs were “Irene, Goodnight,” “Only Living Boy in New York” and “Chinese Children.”
Stony Hill Church provided refreshments for a donation.

The final 2017 free Music in the Circle concert will take place Aug. 23 at 7 p.m. at Sharon Circle Park and will feature the husband and wife team of Grady/Miller, who play guitar and fiddle respectively. When the duo performed in 2016 at the gazebo, a thunderstorm blew in and, in spite of their getting completely soaked, they moved the concert to the town hall and the program continued.
Sharon Center United Methodist Church will provide refreshments for a donation.
