Gymnasts rocked at Rock-n-Roll Invite

The gymnasts from Medina Gymnastics Academy rocked the Gym World Rock-n-Roll Invitational at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School.

The Xcel Silver gymnasts included Reagan Schirmer, who placed first on beam and second all around; Mya Gargano finished third on vault; Camille Christeon placed first on floor and third all around; Anna Strzalka finished first on beam and floor, and second all around; and Aubrey Terrell earned third place on floor and first place on vault. Reagan Faunce and Danica Korneder also competed to help the Silvers take second place as a team.

The Xcel Gold gymnasts included Courtney Bland, who placed third on floor, second on beam, and first on vault and all around; Grace Nelson finished third on vault and beam, second all around, and first on floor; Emma Myers placed third on beam and floor, second on vault, and first all around; Emma Bene finished second on vault and beam; Gwenneth Asher placed third all around; Gabriella Bohmer finished second on beam; and Morgan Rudert placed first on vault. Also competing gold were Rebecca Taylor and Amanda Carter.

The Xcel Platinum gymnasts enjoyed a first place finish as a team and included: Chloe Cleland placing second on vault and first on bars, floor, and all around; Madelyn Deighton finished second on bars, floor, and all around and first on beam; Makenzie Kerr placed third on vault and all around; Jenna Sterk finished third on bars and floor; and Katie Strzalka finished first on vault.

Competing level 5, Madison Lee placed second on vault and first on beam and all around.

The level 8 gymnasts included: Colleen Johnson placing second on floor and first on vault; and Meghan Deighton finished third on bars and floor and second on beam and all around. Addison Kasian and Vivian Liu also competed to help the Platinum Team earn a third place finish.

At level 9, Paige Yu placed second on vault, floor, and all around and first on bars and beam. Also competing at level 9 was Mackenzie Yu.
