Board seeks to fill three seats
The Medina City Schools Board of Education will have three seats to fill in the Nov. 7 general election currently held by Tom Cahalan, Becky Parkhurst and Rob Skidmore.
Cahalan said he will not seek a third term.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my five years on the Medina School Board. During my time, I have gained a tremendous understanding and respect for all those involved that make this district thrive,” said Cahalan.
Upon his announcement, Superintendent Aaron Sable thanked Cahalan for his commitment to the district.
“You have played a major role in helping move our district forward. Your dedication to our students and the community is much appreciated,” Sable said.
The Medina County Board of Elections is accepting requests for petitions with a filing deadline of 4 p.m. on Aug. 9. For additional filing information, visit the Medina County Board of Elections website at http://www.boe.co.medina.oh.us/.
