The writing is on the wall if only the blind could see it
letter to the editor
To the Editor:
Medina wants to extend its marijuana moratorium, and doubtlessly will later in May. What stood out with flashing red and blue lights was City Law Director Greg Huber’s keen observation that recreational marijuana causes impairment. Of course, like everyone in law enforcement, Huber must certainly realize alcohol causes impairment as well, and is a social problem six ways to Sunday.

It is inevitable that more than a century later, marijuana will follow in alcohol’s footsteps, and public popularity will prevail. In fact, it already has in other places in America, not to mention other entire countries. Is it too much to ask that government, if not always smart nor flexible, is at least consistent? The writing is on the wall if only the blind could see it.
