Answering questions about Wooster Community Hospital TodayCare
Read on for some information about the TodayCare services at Wooster Community Hospital.

Q: I’ve heard Wooster Community Hospital is offering telehealth options. What is telehealth?

A: Wooster Community Hospital (WCH) has recently started a new service called WCH TodayCare to provide 24/7 access to qualified healthcare providers from the comfort of your own home by using a computer or mobile device.

We understand that getting sick is not convenient but your care should be, whether you are at home or on the go.

To get started, you simply download our WCH TodayCare app from the App Store or Google play, answer a few questions about your symptoms, pick the provider you would like and you will then be placed into a virtual waiting area.

You will be able to see all the qualifications of each healthcare provider participating and choose the one that you feel most comfortably fits your needs.

As soon as your provider becomes available, you will be invited to join the visit. During the visit you will need to help the healthcare provider assess you virtually. Not only will they ask the necessary questions based on your symptoms but you may need to help them perform a physical such as checking to see if you have any numbness, checking your throat, eyes, etc. Providers can prescribe medication through these virtual visits.

WCH TodayCare is currently providing services for urgent care, behavioral health, and nutrition services. In the future, WCH TodayCare will offer the option to consult a breastfeeding specialist for new moms. To sign-up for WCH TodayCare go to www.wchtodaycare.com.
