With spring not yet here, you may not be in the mood for an icy drink, but now really is the time. The best fruit available in the winter months comes from points farther south. Plus, you’ll get antioxidants, fiber, probiotics, and a low-calorie protein. Raise a glass to your health and warm weather wishes.

2 mangos, peeled and diced (about 3-4 cups)

1 cup plain Greek yogurt

¼ cup tightly packed mint leaves

1 piece (2 inches) fresh turmeric, peeled

Juice of 2 limes

10 large ice cubes

2 tablespoons agave nectar

Pinch of ground turmeric

Mint leaves, for garnish

1. In a blender, combine mangos, yogurt, mint, fresh turmeric, lime juice, ice cubes, and agave. Blend until smooth.

2. Pour into glasses, and top with a sprinkling of ground turmeric and a mint leaf. Karoline Boehm Goodnick
