Caller says intoxicated driver backed into him

April 19 – Police officers responded to a business in the 1000 block of High Street at approximately 5:40 p.m. in reference to a report of a possibly intoxicated driver who had allegedly backed into the caller. Officers met with all parties involved. A report was taken and the incident is being investigated.

April 23 – Police officers received a report from a third party about a possible domestic violence incident in the 100 block of Stratford Avenue at approximately 6 p.m. A report was taken and the incident is being investigated.
April 23 – Police officers responded to the 200 block of Brookwood Avenue at approximately 4:50 p.m. in reference to a report of a disorderly incident. The incident is under investigation.
April 23 – A resident from the 600 block of High Street called 911 at approximately 5:30 a.m. to report that someone was trying to break into his residence. Officers responded, but no one was apprehended. The case is actively being investigated.
April 22 – The police department received a report about a drug overdose that took place in the 900 block of High Street at approximately 12:40 p.m.
April 22 – Police officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Baldwin Street near West Street at approximately 3:10 a.m. After an investigation the driver, Casandra Harty, 30, of Baldwin Street, was arrested and charged with OVI.
April 22 – The police department took a report about a theft that occurred sometime overnight in the 200 block of East Bergey Street. The incident is under investigation.
April 21 – Police officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of High Street and Brouse Drive at approximately 9:15 p.m. After an investigation, a passenger, Martin Upp, 23, of Medina Line Road, was arrested and charged with drug possession.
April 21 – Wadsworth Municipal Court issued a warrant for Tyler C. Carr for a probation violation.
April 21 – Police officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of West Prospect Street at approximately 4:50 p.m. for a welfare check. Officers located marijuana paraphernalia inside the home and a 28-year-old male resident of the home was issued a minor misdemeanor citation.
April 21 – The police department received a call at approximately 1:15 a.m. about an occupied suspicious vehicle on Rainbow Street. Police officers responded to the area and after an investigation the driver, William Crowe, 45, of Main Street, was arrested and charged with physical control.
April 21 – The police department took a report about a juvenile being in possession of alcohol. The report was forwarded to the Juvenile Prosecutor’s office for review.
April 20 – The police department took a report about a burglary that took place in the 100 block of Mills Street. The incident is being investigation.
April 20 – Police officers responded to the 500 block of Bird Street shortly before 8 p.m. for a report of a disturbance. Officers found an adult male who had overdosed at the scene. The man was treated at the scene and was released. The incident is under investigation.
April 20 – Police officers took a report from a resident in the 200 block of Grandview Avenue about a protection order violation.
April 19 – A Highland Avenue resident contacted the police department to report a series of suspicious events that had been occurring at her residence. Police units will provide extra patrol to the neighborhood.
April 19 – Personnel from a Reimer Road business called the police department to report a theft of medication from their facility. The incident is under investigation.
April 19 – Wadsworth Municipal Court issued a warrant for Jeremiah Keele for failure to appear for a court trial.
April 19 – An employee from the Wadsworth Board of Education reported the theft of a trailer sometime over the previous weekend. The vehicle was entered into the statewide system as stolen. An investigation is ongoing.
April 19 – Police officers were dispatched to the 200 block of East Bergey Street at approximately 9 a.m. in reference to a report of a domestic dispute. After an investigation, a 43-year-old female resident was issued a minor misdemeanor citation for disorderly conduct.
April 19 – Police officers responded to the 100 block of Baird Avenue in reference to a report of a burglary. The incident is under investigation.
April 18 – Police officers responded to a Smokerise Drive retail store at approximately 10:15 a.m. in reference to a report of the theft of a wallet.
April 17 – Police officers responded to the 100 block of North Pardee Street at approximately 5:20 p.m. in reference to a report of two juveniles fighting. The fight had already ended when police officers arrived. The subjects involved were identified and an investigation is ongoing.
April 17 – Police officers responded to the 300 block of Main Street at approximately 8 p.m. in reference to a report of a disturbance. During an investigation, a man being interviewed allegedly lied about his personal information. Police officers reported that the man, identified as Marvin Neal, 30, of Savannah, Ohio, had multiple arrest warrants. He was arrested and taken to the Medina County Jail.
April 17 – Police officers responded to a residence on Westgate Avenue at approximately 10:15 p.m. in reference to a report of a domestic disturbance. The parties were separated and no charges were filed.
Rittman Police Department
April 22 – Police went to a Sterling Avenue address on a report of a 31-year-old man overdosing. He was revived with naloxone and taken to the hospital, cited with disorderly conduct.
April 21 – The manager of a North Main Street store reported a possible shoplifting incident after a man set off security alarms as he left and ran away. Police were investigating.
April 20 – Possibly using a BB or pellet gun, someone shot out a garage window and pickup truck mirror at a Rufener Street address.
April 18 – Police responded to a call of a possible overdose at a Salt Street address and found a 31-year-old man who had also overdosed the previous night. On both occasions he was revived with naloxone. He was taken to Summa Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital the second time.
April 17 – Police responded to a Driftwood address where a woman said her 27-year-old son was holding her prisoner in her truck, demanding money for drugs. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Summit County for failure to appear in court on a felony drug offense. Rittman officers added charges of resisting arrest.
Doylestown Police Department
April 22 – A Brooklyn Avenue woman complained of a man and woman sitting on her front porch. Police didn’t find anyone.
April 20 – An officer went to a South Portage Street driveway where a small child had been sitting. The father was eventually found and Children’s Services notified.
April 19 – A Church Street resident reported an alleged federal agent wanting a face-to-face meeting in Norton. It was believed to be a scam.
April 19 – A Portage Street resident reported her son being harassed by several people via text message.
April 19 – A Bailey Court woman said someone was knocking on her door. No one was found.
April 17 – Police and paramedics responded to a suspected overdose.
