The problem can be fixed if we help house unwanted cats

To the Editor:
I was reading The Post on Dec. 17 and saw an article that states “advocates” say that the animal shelter should take in cats.
Now, I love cats, my best friend has cats. There is no way the shelter can take in all those cats. If some cat owners were more responsible, we would not have this problem. If you really want a place for your unwanted cats, fix them or pay for cat tags and help house them. That is how the shelter works, it needs money for all those unwanted pets.
