It was with great dismay that I read of Donald Trump getting his Veterans Day parade (“Trump gets wish for military parade,’’ March 11). Its sole purpose is to feed his colossal yet fragile ego. It is an enormous waste of taxpayers’ money and military and security members’ time and an insult to the veterans of this country (and the rest of us). Our military deserves the utmost respect. Instead of spending millions of dollars on this nonsense, the money should be used to help our veterans, so many of whom are suffering in so many ways. We need to stand up to Trump and say no. We need to find meaningful and supportive ways to honor our veterans on Veterans Day and every day. A Trump parade does nothing
