Uzo Aduba will receive an award at this year’s Point Honors gala in New York on April 3. The “Orange Is the New Black’’ star (and Medfield native) will be presented with the Point Courage Award, which recognizes those who advocate for the future of the LGBTQ community. Screenwriter and director Dustin Lance Black (who won an Oscar for best original screenplay for “Milk’’) will also be honored at the event with the Point Leadership Award.
