Elizabeth ‘Betty Jo’ McMillan
Elizabeth “Betty Jo” McMillan, 92, passed away Dec. 1, 2017. She was born in Middletown, Ohio on Nov. 5, 1925 to the late Frederick W. and Beulah A. (Johnston) Bender.
Family was a priority to Betty Jo and she was always involved in her family’s life, including being a Den Mother and Girl Scout Leader. She was a 50-year member of the United Church of Christ, Congregational of Medina, The Kings Daughters and the Eastern Star. She was a great baker and will be remembered for her wonderful cookies, brownies and cakes. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Betty Jo is survived by her children, Frederick McMillan, Mary Anne McMillan and Michael (Nicole) McMillan; granddaughters, Kala Norway and Kristin Clary; and great-grandson, Freddie Lee Dickey Jr.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George “Red” McMillan; brother, Frederick W. Bender Jr.; and sister, Caroline Fisher.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kitten Krazy, 910 Lake Road, Unit A, Medina, OH 44256.
