Geneva J. Stover, 100, a life-long resident of the Wadsworth area, passed away peacefully Nov. 19, 2019, at Shady Lawn Health Care Community in Dalton following a short illness.

She was born in Little Rock, Ark., to Jacob Grode and Pearl (née Sisil) O’Neal.

She married Vernon Stover and was happily married for 53 years. He passed away Dec. 31, 1985.

Geneva was a devoted homemaker throughout her life and a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Wadsworth where she had also been very active for many years.

She enjoyed being a longtime craftswoman in many capacities and previously had been a Girl Scout leader for over 25 years. She mostly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindi (Frank) Hayes, of Dalton; grandchildren, Jennifer (Bill) Battig-Orr, of Wadsworth, Stacey Battig, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Jessie (Blake) Nussbaum, of Dalton; great-grandchildren, Zach and Abby Orr and Ava and Addison Nussbaum; and a son-in-law, Henry M. McClarnon.

In addition to her parents and beloved husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Duane Stover, and her daughter, Rebecca McClarnon.
