Beer lovers, unite for foam not far from home: The Copenhagen Beer & Music Festival happens in Boston — at City Hall Plaza — on Sept. 22 and 23. Enjoy sips from 54 international and domestic breweries, with a spotlight on rare and unusual brews.
Slurp European selections from Sweden’s Stigbergets, England’s Cloudwater Brew Co., and Denmark’s Mikkeller, and American curiosities like Florida’s Funky Buddha and North Carolina’s Wicked Weed Brewing. There are some Boston brews, too, like Lord Hobo, Night Shift, and Trillium. Think of it as a bar crawl — no crawling involved.
There’s also music from bands like the Tremolo Beer Gut (really — they specialize in surf rock), psychedelic country crooner Hayley Thompson-King, and more.
Tickets for 3½-hour sessions are $65 and include unlimited sampling. Dedicated imbibers may want to opt for a $125 ticket, which includes 4½ hours of sampling, a sampling glass, and a gift bag. And, yes, you must be 21 to attend. Get tickets and location updates at www.copenhagenbeer fest.com.
