K-9 finds missing Burlington woman alive in Billerica swamp

A Burlington woman, 45, who wasreported missing Wednesday was found early Friday in a Billerica swamp, authorities said.

Tanya Condon-Frieden was last seen around 5 p.m. Wednesday on Ivy Lane in Burlington, Burlington police said in a statement. She was found shortly after midnight Friday.

Police said Condon-Frieden was found by a K-9 unit from the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council.

Condon-Frieden was taken to a local hospital after she was found in the swamp, Burlington Patrol Dominic Rossi said.

John Guilfoil, a Burlington police spokesman, told the Globe Friday the incident was “not considered suspicious.’’
