MassArt raised more than $1 million at its 27th annual benefit auction over the weekend. The night drew more than 700 collectors to the Bakalar & Paine Galleries. The big-ticket item of the evening was “SA-4 (Dark Side of the Moon West), 2015,’’ a mixed-media work by former MassArt faculty Tomas Vu that went for $33,000. Guests at the celebration included MassArt president elect David Nelson and wife Kimberly; auction co-chairs Katie Block and Cheryl Franklin; Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum director Peggy Fogelman; and (pictured) MassArt director of curatorial programs Lisa Tung and event sponsors Marc Wurbel (left) and Jerome Urvoy.
