In the New England Professional Golfers’ Association Junior Elite Tour at Stow Acres on Aug. 7-8, he recordrf a two-stroke win over Jack Manning of Acton. The 16-year-old Manion carries the fourth-lowest strokes average (72.50) on the junior tour.

A rising senior guard at Needham High, he has verbally committed to play at Brown University in 2018. The reigning Bay State Conference MVP averaged 23 points, 4.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.5 steals last season.

NEWTON

After a masterful junior season for Newton North, the 6-foot-2 guard has committed to play basketball at Princeton University in 2018. Wright produced 26.5 points with 8.9 rebounds per game last season.
